High Road Practice: PAID LEAVE

Paid leave has been a feature of both local and national policy discussions in 2016.  In June, the City of Chicago passed an ordinance that employers must provide employees with 40 hours of paid sick leave each year.  Proponents advocate that paid leave improves employee retention and satisfaction, while some business owners wonder how they will manage increased costs in the short-term.

Join a candid conversation moderated by the American Sustainable Business Council and Local First Chicago about what it means to be a High Road Employer, the rewards and challenges of offering paid leave, and an examination of what the Chicago sick time ordinance will mean for small businesses.
