After a busy week, yoga is a great way to reconnect with your little one and take care of yourself at the same time. Bring your child along (6 weeks through age 2) as you meet other new parents and enjoy a yoga practice with your child nearby. Build strength, increase flexibility, and promote stress relief with poses and breathing techniques designed to counteract the impact of carrying and caring for a child. Some poses will be done solo with your little one playing nearby, while others will incorporate your child in a fun and creative way that will have you both smiling!
Class will begin with introductions of parents and children, followed by gentle warm-ups that will build into a more active practice. This workshop is a great opportunity to connect with your baby, do something good for your body & mind, and get to know a great group of new parents. No previous yoga experience necessary. Please note: this workshop is not designed as a yoga class for kids but rather a class for adults that invites children to be present and to participate occasionally.
What to bring: For parents of non-crawlers, bring a blanket and one or two favorite toys for baby (please be aware, as this is a mixed-age group, there will be crawlers and walkers in the class along with babies). For parents of toddlers, just bring your little one and let them enjoy our collection of toys while you enjoy class.
